Time To Tackle

Time To Tackle is a programme delivered by St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation in partnership with Time To Tackle that aims to use movement and conversation as a form of football therapy. The National Lottery Community Fund have made this possible, financially supporting this programme.

It was founded by Aaron Connelly, an extraordinary young man, who is passionate about improving physical and mental wellbeing, and challenging the stigma around mental health.

Sessions are free to attend every Friday between 8pm and 10pm. The first hour is spent having an open and honest conversation around all things mental health, providing a safe space to talk openly. This is followed by an hour of football in the AirDome. On occasion, this is followed by a relaxed, social gathering in the 1877.

Time to Tackle is open to anyone 18+. Come join us for Friday nights under the lights!

Individuals aged 18+ living in areas of deprivation are 2x as likely to experience mental health issues as those living in more affluent areas
